This work is (primarily) from my last few years spent in New Zealand. Swiftly leaving school, I said my first of many goodbyes to friends and family. I departed with ambitions of self-discovery, yet retreated home with more questions than answers.

Met by death, divorce and loneliness, my journey was wrought with confusion. Looking back on my imagery from that time, I am consistently reminded of the ‘memento mori’ concept.

The work - more introspection - features friends left behind, some which have already parted with us; reflections of the utopian landscape and characters encountered along the path of self discovery.
